ROSVER - ZIRCONIUM CONICAL SPIRABANDS
Rosver Zirconium Conical Spirabands are professional abrasive sleeves designed for aggressive grinding, shaping, deburring, blending and surface finishing on metal components, particularly in small, confined and difficult-to-reach areas.
Manufactured using zirconium abrasive cloth formed into a tapered conical sleeve, these spirabands provide effective material removal and controlled contact across edges, contours, internal openings and irregular surfaces.
Rosver Conical Spirabands are designed for use with correctly sized expanding conical rubber holders. During operation, centrifugal force expands the rubber holder, securely gripping the abrasive sleeve and keeping it in position.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Rosver Zirconium Conical Spirabands provide an effective and versatile solution for metal grinding, weld blending, shaping, deburring, edge preparation and surface finishing.
The zirconium abrasive construction delivers an aggressive cutting action and high stock removal, making these spirabands particularly suitable for demanding metalworking applications where efficient material removal is required.
Unlike conventional cylindrical spirabands, the tapered conical shape provides a changing diameter along the length of the abrasive. This allows greater flexibility when working on angled surfaces, internal profiles, recesses and other difficult-to-access areas where standard abrasive discs or cylindrical bands may be unsuitable.
A choice of 40, 60, 80 and 120 grit allows the appropriate abrasive grade to be selected for the application. Coarser grits are ideal for aggressive grinding, shaping and heavier stock removal, while finer grits offer greater control for blending, smoothing and surface preparation.
Each conical spiraband must be used with a compatible expanding conical rubber holder of the corresponding dimensions. As the holder rotates, centrifugal expansion securely grips the abrasive sleeve, providing stability during grinding and finishing operations.

SIZE GUIDE
Conical Spiraband sizes are expressed using three measurements: the diameter at the wider end, the diameter at the narrower end and the overall length. For example, 20/14 x 63mm indicates a 20mm diameter at the wider end, 14mm at the narrower end and a total length of 63mm. Always select a matching conical rubber holder for the chosen size.
KEY BENEFITS
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
Rosver Zirconium Conical Spirabands are ideal for metal grinding, weld blending, deburring, edge preparation, shaping, surface smoothing, stock removal and preparation before coating, painting or polishing.
Their tapered conical design makes them particularly suitable for working on internal openings, angled surfaces, curved components, profiles, recesses, edges and restricted areas that may be difficult to reach using conventional grinding discs or cylindrical abrasive bands.
The aggressive zirconium abrasive is well suited to demanding metalworking operations, including grinding and deburring steel and stainless steel components, with suitability for other metals depending on the application.
Coarser 40 and 60 grit conical spirabands are recommended for heavier grinding, shaping, aggressive deburring and high stock removal. Finer 80 and 120 grit options are suitable for controlled blending, smoothing, lighter deburring and surface preparation.
The three available sizes allow the appropriate conical sleeve to be selected according to the dimensions and accessibility of the workpiece.
Perfect for fabricators, welders, engineers, metalworkers, maintenance teams and production environments requiring effective abrasive performance in confined or awkward working areas.
Suitable for use with:
Always match the conical spiraband dimensions to the corresponding rubber holder. The maximum operating speed of the abrasive sleeve, holder and machine must also be compatible.
STORAGE & HANDLING
Store Rosver Zirconium Conical Spirabands in a clean, dry environment away from moisture, excessive heat, direct sunlight and contamination. Where possible, keep the abrasive sleeves in their original packaging until required.
Inspect each conical spiraband and expanding rubber holder before use. Do not use abrasive sleeves that are torn, creased, distorted, damaged or excessively worn. Replace damaged or worn rubber holders before fitting a new abrasive sleeve.
Always disconnect the machine from its power supply before fitting or removing a spiraband. Ensure the abrasive sleeve is fully seated on a clean, correctly sized conical holder before starting the machine.
Use only the correct expanding conical rubber holder for the selected spiraband size. During operation, centrifugal force expands the rubber holder to grip the abrasive sleeve securely.
Do not exceed the maximum RPM specified for the spiraband, expanding holder or machine. Where different maximum speeds are stated, always follow the lowest permitted speed.
Always use appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, suitable face protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection where required and close-fitting protective clothing. Allow the abrasive to perform the cutting action without applying excessive pressure, as excessive force can reduce grinding efficiency, increase heat generation and shorten the working life of the spiraband.
