ROSVER - ZIRCONIUM SPIRABANDS

Rosver Zirconium Spirabands are professional abrasive bands designed for grinding, deburring, blending and surface preparation on aluminium and steel.

Manufactured from strips of zirconium abrasive cloth wrapped and bonded onto a cotton support, these reinforced spirabands provide effective material removal with controlled contact across small components, profiles, edges and difficult-to-reach areas.

Rosver Zirconium Spirabands are designed for use with correctly sized expanding rubber sleeve holders. As the holder rotates, centrifugal force expands the rubber and securely grips the abrasive band during operation.

The reinforced zirconium abrasive-cloth construction delivers an effective cutting action for use on aluminium and steel. The compact cylindrical shape makes these abrasive bands particularly useful for working on small surfaces, internal openings, curved components, profiles and other areas where conventional abrasive discs may not provide suitable access.

A choice of 40, 60, 80 and 120 grit allows the correct abrasive grade to be selected for the required finish. Coarser grits are suitable for heavier material removal and initial grinding, while finer grits provide greater control during blending, smoothing and surface preparation.

Each spiraband must be used with a compatible expanding rubber holder of the corresponding size. Always ensure the abrasive band is fully seated and securely fitted before operating the machine.

RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS

Rosver Zirconium Spirabands are ideal for metal grinding, weld blending, deburring, edge preparation, surface smoothing, stock removal and preparation before coating, painting or polishing.

Their compact cylindrical design makes them particularly suitable for working on internal openings, curved surfaces, small components, profiles, edges and restricted areas that may be difficult to reach with conventional grinding discs.

Coarser 40 and 60 grit spirabands are recommended for more aggressive grinding, deburring and material removal. Finer 80 and 120 grit options are suitable for controlled blending, smoothing and surface preparation.

Perfect for fabricators, welders, engineers, metalworkers, maintenance teams and production environments working with aluminium or steel components.

Always match the spiraband dimensions to the rubber sleeve holder. The maximum operating speed of the spiraband, holder and machine must also be compatible.

STORAGE & HANDLING

Store Rosver Zirconium Spirabands in a clean, dry environment away from moisture, excessive heat, direct sunlight and contamination. Where possible, keep the bands in their original packaging until required.

Inspect each spiraband and expanding rubber holder before use. Do not use abrasive bands that are torn, creased, distorted, heavily worn or incorrectly fitted. Replace damaged or excessively worn holders before installing a new spiraband.

Always disconnect the machine from its power supply before fitting or removing an abrasive band. Ensure the spiraband is fully seated on a clean, correctly sized holder before starting the machine.

Do not exceed the maximum RPM specified for the spiraband, expanding holder or machine. Where different maximum speeds are stated, always follow the lowest permitted speed.

Always use appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, face protection, gloves, hearing protection and suitable protective clothing. Allow the abrasive to perform the cutting action without applying excessive pressure, as excessive force can reduce performance and shorten the working life of the spiraband.
